Dynasty Recap – Week 2 – Browns 28, Titans 14

Browns

  • Unlike last week, the Browns offense didn’t look that bad starting with quarterback Johnny Manziel. He finished with 172 yards and two touchdowns. He didn’t do much on the ground but didn’t have to as Cleveland jumped out to a big lead and never looked back.
  • Speaking of running the ball, starter Isaiah Crowell had 72 yards on 15 carries and a touchdown. This is more like it from Crowell but he still split carries with rookie Duke Johnson. Expect an even split most of the season with Johnson being the better play.
  • Receiver Travis Benjamin had another big day with three catches for 115 yards and two touchdowns. Cleveland throws it very little but when they have this season, it’s been to Benjamin. With no other options, he may very well be the top receiver for the Browns which can make him a decent WR4/5.

Titans

  • Rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota had another solid day with 257 yards and two touchdowns plus two fumbles. He hasn’t played the best defenses the last two weeks but the touchdowns are encouraging. He could end up a QB1 by the end of the season.
  • Running back Bishop Sankey came back down to Earth with 42 yards on 12 carries. He’s nothing more than a very low-end RB2, if that, in dynasty rankings.

Dynasty Recap – Week 1 – Titans 42, Buccaneers 14

Titans

  • Couldn’t have had a much better debut than Marcus Mariota with 209 yards and four touchdowns. He’s firmly a QB2 but has room to grow.
  • Running back Bishop Sankey got off to a great start with 74 yards rushing on just 12 carries plus a touchdown along with two more catches for 12 yards and another touchdown. If he can have games like this consistently, he’ll rise to a low-end RB2 in dynasty leagues.
  • Another bounce back debut, this time from receiver Kendall Wright with 101 yards on four catches and a touchdown. Wright won’t be able to keep this pace up but could see a boost in value now that Mariota is in town.

Buccaneers

  • Meanwhile, Jameis Winston had a typical debut for a rookie quarterback with 210 passing yards plus two touchdowns and two interceptions. It’s a decent start for the rookie but Mariota has the early lead.
  • Second-year tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins filled in nicely for Mike Evans with five catches for 110 yards and two touchdowns. It was mainly garbage time but it’s a nice start to, what many people think, is a breakout year. He’s only a TE2 for now but that could change if he keeps this up.

Dynasty Recap – Week 7 – Redskins slip past Titans, 19-17

  • Titans rookie running back Bishop Sankey was the lead back with 16 carries for 56 yards. Sankey should continue to be the starter and will benefit from better talent at the QB position.
  • Redskins receiver Pierre Garcon had his best day in weeks with five catches for 87 yards and a touchdown. The presence of fellow receiver DeSean Jackson has severely cut into Garcon’s value and can’t be trusted as anymore more than a WR3.
  • Titans receiver Kendall Wright had a decent day with six catches for 68 yards and a touchdown. He continues to see targets and had nine more today. He’s a hold in dynasty formats as he should benefit from better quarterback play.
  • Redskins linebacker Keenan Robinson had another good day with a season-high 14 tackles. The young linebacker has performed at a LB2 level this year and should be viewed that way in dynasty formats.

Dynasty Recap – Week 1 – Titans take down Chiefs, 26-10

  • Somehow, Titans quarterback Jake Locker had 266 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
  • In the running game, Shonn Greene was your lead back with 15 carries followed by Dexter McCluster with nine carries and rookie Bishop Sankey with six. Sankey is still ranked high but needs to start closing the gap to be a value in dynasty.
  • On the other side of the field, Jamaal Charles had only 19 yards on 7 carries with four catches for 15 yards. The Chiefs were behind most of the game and could explain his lack of production. Not time to worry yet.
  • On the IDP side, Eric Berry had a game-high 15 tackles to go along with a pass defended. He’s a DB1 in all dynasty formats.
