- Bears backup quarterback Josh McCown had a stellar day going 23 of 36 for 355 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. McCown is making it an interesting decision for Chicago in the off-season as Jay Cutler is due to be a free agent. McCown is already 34 but could be a decent buffer for a drafted quarterback.
- Vikings running back Adrian Peterson went off for 211 yards on 35 carries for a 6.0 YPC. There’s just no stopping no matter who the quarterback or team is.
- Bears receiver Alshon Jeffery also went off for 12 catches and 249 yards and two touchdowns. There’s no doubt that Jeffery is on par, if not exceeded, Marshall’s value in dynasty circles.
- Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway led the Vikings in tackles with 10 and included a sack. Greenway continues to be a tackle machine with 95 so far in 2013 with a quarter of the season to go.

Dynasty Recap – Week 13 – Dolphins destroy Jets, 23-3
- Jets quarterback Geno Smith just looks bad. He went 4 of 10 for 29 yards and an interception. It’s about time to jump ship on Smith.
- Meanwhile, Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill went 28 of 43 for 331 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Tannehill will never be more than a game manager and should be considered a low-end, but steady, QB2 in dynasty circles.
- Jets running back Chris Ivory rushed for 61 yards on 12 carries for a 5.1 YPC. Not bad but the Jets played behind most of the game and never allowed Ivory to do his thing.
- Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline caught nine passes for 127 yards and a touchdown. He led the team with 15 targets with the Dolphins taking advantage of a weak Jets secondary. Don’t expect long-term success with Hartline.
- Dolphins defensive lineman Olivier Vernon had another good day with 10 tackles and 2.5 sacks. He now has 10 sacks on the year and has successfully held off #3 overall pick Dion Jordan to remain the starter. He’s an idea buy-low candidate.
Dynasty Recap – Week 13 – Eagles escape Cardinals, 24-21
- Eagles quarterback Nick Foles had another great game, going 21 of 34 for 237 yards and three more touchdowns with zero interceptions. There’s no doubt who will be the starter next year in Philadelphia.
- Eagles running back LeSean McCoy had 79 yards rushing on 19 carries to go along with five catches and 36 yards. McCoy is averaging over 4+ YPC with Foles at quarterback compared to 5+ with Michael Vick but as long as McCoy doesn’t fall below that 4.0 number, it won’t be a problem.
- Cardinals receiver Michael Floyd continues to establish himself as the rightful heir to Larry Fitzgerald whether that’s next year or beyond. Floyd led the team with 10 targets, five catches for 99 yards and a touchdown.
- Cardinals linebacker Karlos Dansby continues his stellar play with nine tackles, two sacks and a pass defended. Originally signed to fill in for Daryl Washington, Dansby has played too well to get off the field. It’ll be interesting to see where he goes next year as he’s only playing on a one year deal.
Dynasty Recap – Week 13 – Panthers shred Buccaneers, 27-6
- Panthers quarterback Cam Newton had a good game, for the most part. He went 18 of 29 for 263 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions and tacked on 68 yards rushing and another touchdown. Newton has pulled ahead of Andrew Luck in recent weeks as far as dynasty ranks.
- Panthers running back Jonathan Stewart failed to run with the running back job (no pun intended) running for just 39 yards on 14 carries. There’s literally no running back in Carolina worth a long-term look in dynasty leagues right now.
- Panthers tight end Greg Olsen tied for the team-lead in targets with seven and hauled in five of them for 85 yards. You always know what you’re getting with Olsen – nothing too flashy but a higher floor than most.
- Buccaneers linebacker Lavonte David continues to be a LB1 with nine tackles and an interception. There’s very few linebackers I’d rather have in dynasty leagues.
Dynasty Recap – Week 13 – Patriots escape Texans, 34-31
- The Patriots running game appears to include Shane Vereen running the ball in addition to catching passes. With Stevan Ridley benched, the Patriots will need to fill the void in the running game. Vereen rushed 10 times for 38 yards along with five catches for 37 yards and a touchdown. For all intents and purposes, Vereen is the running back to own in New England.
- On the other side of the field, Texans running back Ben Tate ran for 102 yards for 22 yards and three touchdowns. There was no time share with backup Dennis Johnson and it put Tate back on track to be the starter somewhere else in 2014.
- Patriots slot receiver Julian Edelman tied for the team lead with 12 targets for nine catches and 101 yards. You have to wonder if New England would want to bring Edelman back next year or roll with Danny Amendola. Edelman has been the preferred receiver the last couple weeks and is on pace for 90+ catches and 900+ yards.
- Texans receiver Andre Johnson went off, again, for eight catches and 121 yards on nine targets. Johnson is quarterback- and team-proof so no matter where he plays next year, he’s still a strong WR in dynasty circles.
Daily Dynasty Update – November 30th
- Eagles running back LeSean McCoy is on pace for a career-high in touches. That’s music to re-draft owners of McCoy but not dynasty leaguers. It’ll be close to 1,000 touches in the last three years for McCoy. Dynasty leaguers need to be cautious with McCoy in the near future.
- Cowboys running back Lance Dunbar will be out for the season after a knee injury suffered in the Thanksgiving day game. Dunbar, averaging 5.0 YPC this season, was doing well as the change-of-pace back behind DeMarco Murray. Dunbar faces rookie Joseph Randle for that role in 2014 along with any other options the Jerry Jones regime brings in.
- The Bills are encouraging rookie quarterback E.J. Manual to let it loose in the passing game. They likely want to see what they have at quarterback and sooner rather than later. The same could be said for dynasty league owners of Manual.

Dynasty Recap – Week 13 Recap – Ravens escape Steelers, 22-20
- Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had another solid outing, going 28 of 44 for 257 yards and two touchdowns and no turnovers. As long as the offense is healthy and firing on all cylinders, Roethlisberger will be a solid QB2 option. He also has yet to utilize rookie receiver Markus Wheaton yet which will only help his 2014 prospects.
- Steelers rookie running back Le’Veon Bell had solid game as well with 73 yards rushing and a touchdown to go with seven catches for 63 yards. More games like this is why Bell was widely considered the top rookie prospect heading in to this dynasty season.
- Steelers tight end Heath Miller led all Steelers with eight catches and 86 yards. It’s not a secret that Roethlisberger has a man-crush on Miller and Miller shows no ill effects of the devastating knee injury he sustained last year.
- Steelers linebacker Jason Worilds continues to impress in place of LaMarr Woodley with 10 tackles, two sacks and a tackle for a loss. Grab him if you can as Worilds would make a cheap replacement for Woodley in Pittsburgh next year.
Dynasty Recap – Week 13 – Cowboys beat Raiders, 31-24
- Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray had a big day with 63 yards rushing on 17 carries and three touchdowns. He also added five catches for 39 yards. Health has been an issue in each of Murray’s three seasons but you could do a lot worse with your RB2 position.
- Raiders receiver Andre Holmes had a career day with 136 yards on seven catches. At 6′ 4″ and 210 pounds, Holmes has the physical traits to be a successful dynasty receiver. He just needed the opportunity.
- Raiders linebacker Nick Roach continues to dominate the Mike position with 11 tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble. Signed to a four-year deal before the season, Roach is already at 89 tackles through 12 games to go with 5.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, an interception and two passes defended. And he still has a quarter of the season to go.
Dynasty Recap – Week 13 – Lions destroy Packers, 40-10
- Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford had a very Matthew Stafford game, throwing for 330 yards on 22 of 35 passing with three touchdowns but two interceptions and a fumble lost. This is the Matthew Stafford dynasty leaguers will have to live with.
- Lions running back Reggie Bush had 117 yards rushing and 65 yards receiving on five catches with a touchdown. He did lose a fumble but that didn’t stop him. You have to wonder how Reggie’s fumble issues will affect his play going forward. Backup Joique Bell had 94 yards rushing on 19 carries with 34 yards on three receptions and another touchdown.
- Lions receiver Calvin Johnson had 101 yards on six catches and a touchdown. He’s the best and I have a man crush on him and I don’t care who knows it.
- A bright spot for the Packers was safety Morgan Burnett had nine tackles, two fumble recoveries and a touchdown. His value only increases as the Packers allow more yards and points.
- Lions rookie defensive end Ziggy Ansah had two sacks for the second straight game after missing a month. Playing in that system, in which Cliff Avril was a star, should only increase Ansah’s value along with his age and contract.
Daily Dynasty Update – November 25th
- Buccaneers rookie tight end Tim Wright is going to be utilized even more this season, providing a golden opportunity to increase his value for dynasty leaguers. He played receiver in college and has the skills to be a force in the passing game.
- Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew might be back in Jacksonville next year after all. It won’t matter as Jones-Drew will be 29 next year and is only averaging 3.2 YPC. He’s one to avoid in dynasty leagues.
- Raiders running back Rashad Jennings will be forced to give up carries to Darren McFadden this week but should still outperform him. The real question for dynasty leaguers is who will be starting next year in Oakland? Both Jennings and McFadden will be free agents and aren’t getting any younger.
- After another lost fumble Sunday, don’t expect Patriots running back Stevan Ridley to handle the work load like he did in 2012. The Patriots have no faith in his ability to hold on to the ball and will severely cut into his playing time. Ridley owners can only hope he rebounds in time for 2014.
- Eagles quarterback Nick Foles has been named the starter for the rest of the season. For all intents and purposes, he’ll be the started in 2014 as well.
- Steelers linebacker Jason Worilds has played so well recently (three sacks in four games) that there’s talk of him taking over for Lamarr Woodley in 2014. He’d certainly be cheaper.
