Dynasty Recap – Week 11 – Raiders down Texans, 28-23

  • Raiders rookie quarterback Matt McGloin went 18 of 32 for 197 yards and three touchdowns and no turnovers. If he keeps this up, the Raiders might also use their pick on something other than quarterback.
  • Meanwhile, the Texans pulled Case Keenum in the middle of the game for Matt Schaub. It was odd in that Keenum was only 13 of 24 for 170 yards with one touchdown and one interception. It’s not like Houston has anything play for this year so why not let Keenum continue to learn on the job?
  • Texans running back Ben Tate continued to impress with 88 yards on 19 carries to go along with to go along with four catches for 29 yards. Tate will continue to be the lead back this year and should be the feature back somewhere else next year.
  • Texans tight end Garrett Graham had a big day with 136 yards on seven catches on 13 targets and a touchdown. Dont’ count on Graham in dynasty leagues, however, as Owen Daniels is fully expected to get the job back next year.
  • Texans defensive end J.J. Watt had two more sacks to go along with five tackles. Watt now has 8.5 sacks on an otherwise disappointing (for him) season. Now might be a good time to buy (relatively) low.

Dynasty Recap – Week 11 – Buccaneers beat Falcons, 41-28

  • Buccaneers rookie quarterback Mike Glennon had another efficient day going 20 of 23 for 231 yards and two touchdowns with zero turnovers. If he keeps playing this well, Tampa may use their high pick to address other needs.
  • Bucs running back Bobby Rainey had a huge day with 163 yards rushing on 30 carries. Don’t get too carried away as Rainey has two running backs ahead of him on the depth chart.
  • Bucs receiver Vincent Jackson had a huge day as well with 10 catches on 12 targets for 165 yards and a touchdown. Hopefully, with some stability at the quarterback position, Jackson can continue to produce the way Tampa hoped with they signed him.
  • On the other side of the field, Falcons fill-in Harry Douglas had six catches for 134 yards on a touchdown. It will be interesting where Douglas fits in 2014 with Julio Jones coming back. Could he replace Roddy White as Atlanta’s #2?
  • Atlanta undrafted free agent linebacker Paul Worrilow continues his hot streak with 16  tackles. That’s now 54 in the last three games alone. Worrilow is proving he’s legit and should be picked up in all dynasty leagues.
