- Patriots quarterback Tom Brady didn’t show any signs of slowing down without tight end Rob Gronkowski, going 34 of 55 for 364 yards, two touchdowns and a pick. Brady is still a QB1 in dynasty leagues despite the seemingly lack of talent around him. He can make it work.
- Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill had another good game going 25 of 37 for 312 yards and three touchdowns with zero turnovers. Tannehill has strung together three good games in a row to coincide with the Dolphins three game winning steak. Tannehill is slowly, but surely, progressing and should be an intriguing dynasty quarterback next year.
- Patriots receivers Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola picked up the slack in place of Rob Gronkowski. Edelman had 139 yards on 13 catches while leading the team with 19 targets. Amendola finally busted out with 10 catches for 131 yards. Amendola is the only one of the two to be under contract next year so he’ll be the better dynasty prospect of the two.
- Dolphins receiver Mike Wallace had his fourth 100-yard game of the year with six catches for 105 yards on nine targets. Hopefully it’s a sign of things to come but until Wallace can string together more games like this, he shouldn’t be trusted.

Dynasty Recap – Week 15 – Bills escape Jaguars, 27-20
- Bills rookie quarterback E.J. Manual was efficient but uneven, going 17 of 24 for 193 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He also tacked on 37 yards rushing while losing a fumble. Manual will need to cut down the turnovers going forward if he’s going to continue to progress.
- Jaguars running back Jordan Todman had 109 yards rushing on 25 carries and added four catches for 44 yards in place of Maurice Jones-Drew. Todman did well to make his case to stick around after MJD is a free agent.
- Bills rookie receiver Robert Woods had his best game in a couple of weeks with five catches for 82 yards and led the team with six targets. Hopefullly him and quarterback E.J. Manual can develop even more in the off-season.
- Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny had another double-digit tackle game with 13 with a sack. There’s few middle linebackers getting more opportunities than Pos right now. He’s a solid LB1.
Dynasty Recap – Week 15 – Chargers upset Broncos
- Chargers running back Ryan Mathews had a season-high 127 yards rushing and a touchdown. Mathews has stayed healthy this year and it’s paid off, already eclipsing 1,000 yards. He’ll never be a three-down back with Danny Woodhead in the fold but he can be productive.
- Chargers rookie receiver Keenan Allen had only two catches but both were for touchdowns. He’s easily been the top rookie receiver and should hope Ken Whisenhunt sticks around as offensive coordinator.
- Broncos linebacker Danny Trevathan had 10 more tackles to give him 114 on the year. He’ll be just 24 entering next year and should continue to be as productive for the foreseeable future.
Daily Dynasty Update – December 12th
- Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is back as the starter, dashing the hopes of saavy Josh McCown owners. Currently, they’re about equal in dynasty rankings as neither is guaranteed to come back to Chicago. Cutler has the leg up since he’ll surely sign on as a starter somewhere. McCown could as well for a team drafting a young quarterback in need of a tutor.
- The stars are lining up for Da’Rick Rogers as Colts receiver LaVon Brazill isn’t practicing and is in a walking boot. Rogers will have little competition for targets and should be owned in all dynasty leagues if he’s still available.
- Seahawks receiver Percy Harvin still isn’t over his hip issues and it’s fair to wonder if he’ll even be back this season. Seattle has done well without him and they could keep it going while getting Harvin healthy for 2014. He’ll be on plenty of fantasy radars next year.
- Raiders running back Marcel Reece will be relegated to the backup role with Rashad Jennings returns. Reece was re-signed in 2013 but not to be a featured back.
- Packers receiver Randall Cobb has been cleared to run but don’t expect him back this year. The Packers should focus on getting healthy for 2014.
Daily Dynasty Update – December 11th
- Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has advanced a little in his come back from an injured collar-bone. It’s a situation to monitor and not an entirely bad thing if the Packers held him out to ensure long-term health.
- The mess in Washington continues with Robert Griffin now being inactive on Sunday. Coach Mike Shanahan will most assuredly get fired in the off-season while RG3 gets back to 100%. He’s a buy-low candidate in 2014.
- Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter didn’t get the Boise State head coaching job which means he’ll be back in Atlanta (for now). That’s great news for Matt Ryan and Julio Jones and the entire Atlanta offense for next year.
- Colts receiver Reggie Wayne will aggressively rehab his knee and hopes to be ready in time for 2014. Wayne is a fine option for the next year or two.
- The Chiefs seem to like Knile Davis as Jamaal Charles primary back up and should be a must own in all dynasty leagues, especially if you’re a Charles owner.
Dynasty Recap – Week 14 – Bears dominate Cowboys, 45-28
- Bears quarterback Josh McCown continues to impress going 27 of 36 for 348 yards and four touchdowns. It’s probably a stretch to envision McCown taking over the starting job but the Bears have to at least think about it,
- Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray had 18 carries for 146 yards. He might have had more if Dallas didn’t get blown out. Murray is a legit RB2 in dynasty circles for 2014. Just prepare for the inevitable injury.
- Meanwhile, Mr. Reliable Matt Forte ran for 102 yards and also caught seven passes for 73 yards and a touchdown. Forte was playing Dallas’ horrible defense but he’s proven time and again he’s a RB1 in dynasty circles.
Dynasty Recap – Week 14 – Saints destroy Panthers, 31-13
- Saints quarterback Drew Brees was surgical, going 30 of 42 for 313 yards and four touchdowns. Like Peyton Manning, age is an issue with Brees but could be worth a championship or two in your dynasty leagues.
- Saints receiver Marques Colston had his best game of the year with nine catches for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Colston will be 31 next year and is headed to the back-loaded portion of his contract. His value takes a big hit if he doesn’t play in New Orleans. Futhermore, there’s really no consistent receiving option in New Orleans besides Jimmy Graham.
- Panthers tight end Greg Olsen led the team in targets and receptions with 12 targets, hauling in eight for 40 yards. He seems to be Cam Newton’s primary target. If Carolina should upgrade their receiving position, look for Olsen’s value to take a hit.
Dynasty Recap – Week 14 – 49ers escape Seahawks, 19-17
- 49ers running back Frank Gore turned back the clock and had 110 yards on 17 carries. He’s already 30 and only under contract with San Francisco for one more year. Gore’s dynasty value won’t last much longer.
- Seahawks rookie tight end Luke Willson had three catches for 70 yards and a touchdown. Willson has the physical tools to be a productive tight end for many years. Keep an eye on him in the off-season.
- 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman had nine more tackles and a sack. On the year, Bowman has 120 tackles, four sacks, six passes defended and three forced fumbles. Bowman is a LB1 in any dynasty format.
Dynasty Recap – Week 14 – Chargers destroy Giants, 37-14
- Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers continues his comeback season, going 21 of 28 for 249 yards and three touchdowns with one fumble lost. Rivers has excelled under new offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt and should pray he comes back in 2014. If not, Rivers value should not be as highly regarded.
- Giants running back Andre Brown had 81 yards on 16 carries for a 5.1 YPC. Brown has played well without platoon partner David Wilson, sporting a 4.3 YPC for the season and 424 yards in just five games. Keep an eye on the Giants backfield in 2014 because if there’s a bell cow, he’ll be extremely valuable. Brown could be it.
- Giants receiver Hakeem Nicks had five catches for 135 yards and an insane 27 YPC. Nicks hasn’t put up a ton of stats but when he’s in the zone, there’s not many better. He’s averaged 16.1 YPC and, if extrapolated, would eclipse 1,000 yards again. He’s sure to sign somewhere else in 2014 and, if he can stay healthy, Nicks can be a decent dynasty WR2.
- Giants defensive end Justin Tuck had two more sacks, giving him seven in three games. However, Tuck is 30 and a free agent and is unlikely to reproduce his 2013 production.
Dynasty Recap – Week 14 – Cardinals take down Rams, 30-10
- Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer was highly efficient, going 27 of 32 for 269 yards and a touchdown. The Cardinals have been good this season and Palmer should continue to be hot at times in 2014. He’s still older and slow but could be serviceable for a year or two.
- Cardinals rookie running back Andre Ellington outplayed, again, Rashard Mendenhall, running for 46 yards on 11 carries. He’ll continue to be second fiddle to Mendenhall but that should change next year.
- Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald hauled in all 12 of his targets for 96 yards and a touchdown. As long as the Cardinals are winning, Fitzgerald should be happy and continue to produce.
- Rams rookie linebacker Alec Ogletree continues to play well with nine tackles and the first sack of his career. He’s up to 94 tackles on the year and has played as well as any rookie linebacker this side of Kiko Alonso. He’s the next possible Lavonte David.
