Dynasty Recap – Week 12 – 49ers trounce Redskins, 27-6

  • 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick looked like his old self, albeit against a bad team. Kap went 15 of 24 for 235 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions and added 20 yards rushing. This may be the beginning of the road back to success for Kaepernick as receiver Michael Crabtree is expected back next week.
  • Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III just looked bad. He went 17 of 27 for 127 yards, no touchdowns and one interception. He did add 22 yards rushing but until he can start producing again, RG3 isn’t worth a start in dynasty leagues. He could also be a decent buy-low candidate.
  • 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks had two more sacks, giving him five in the last three games. Brooks is a strict sack specialist who excels in the 49ers defense thanks to fellow linebackers NaVorro Bowman, Patrick Willis and Aldon Smith garnering all the attention. But Brooks is 30 next year and a good candidate to get cut as his salary doubles. Brooks is a good plug-and-play for 2013 but nothing beyond.
