- It’s been awhile since the last look at dynasty running backs so a lot has changed. LeSean McCoy was unseated as the top dynasty running back by Le’Veon Bell. After him are familiar faces in Eddie Lacy and Jamaal Charles. An old face in a new place is DeMarco Murray at four with McCoy at five. The rest of the top ten includes veterans Marshawn Lynch at six and Matt Forte at eight. Meanwhile, newcomers Jeremy Hill (seventh); C.J. Anderson (ninth); and Lamar Miller (10th) enter the mix.

New top five member this month with DeMarco Murray sneaking in at five. The top four remain the same with LeSean McCoy, Jamaal Charles, Eddie Lacy, and Gio Bernard. Doug Martin drops from four to eight.- Big risers this month include Mark Ingram to 33rd from 40th; Knile Davis to 44th from 52nd; and Ahmad Bradshaw sneaking up to 52nd.
- Big drops include Adrian Peterson to 16th from 6th; Toby Gerhart from 30th to 37th; Maurice Jones-Drew to 50th from 42nd; Danny Woodhead to 53rd from 47th; Jonathan Stewart to 54th from 48th; Pierre Thomas to 55th from 49th; and Marcus Lattimore to 57th from 43rd.
- Rookie movers include Carlos Hyde up to 18th from 23rd; Jeremy Hill to 29th from 35th; Isaiah Crowell to 40th from 57th; Jerick McKinnon to 41st from 54th; and Andre Williams to 42nd from 51st.

No changes in the top five: LeSean McCoy, Jamaal Charles, Eddie Lacy, Adrian Peterson, and Doug Martin. - Biggest riser this month is Montee Ball of Denver, going from 21st to 16th. With the signing of Knowshon Moreno off to Miami, Ball is, without a doubt, the starter in the high-powered Denver offense.
- Other risers include new Giants starting running back Rashad Jennings going from 49th to 43rd. After finishing strong in Oakland, Jennings will be asked to take over the starting job in New York after the departure of Andre Brown and David Wilson‘s health still up in the air.
- Another riser is new starter Toby Gerhart in Jacksonville. Gerhart wasn’t even ranked in dynasty circles until he signed with the Jaguars and is now 46th. Still just 27 without a lot of wear on those tires, Gerhart could be a decent running back option on a young, improving team.
- The other significant riser is the Saints Khiry Robinson. With the Saints looking to run the ball more, Robinson is the youngest in the new New Orleans running attack.
- Drops include the previously mentioned Andre Brown from 43rd to 48th. Brown’s ranking was contingent on his status as a starter. He ended up in Houston where he’ll back up perpetually injured Arian Foster so he’ll be an interesting handcuff in 2014 but shouldn’t be relied on.
- Jets running back Bilal Powell also drops, this time from 54th to 59th. Powell drops to 3rd on the Jets depth chart after the signing of Chris Johnson.

- Top five has a slightly different order but the same players: LeSean McCoy, Jamaal Charles, Eddie Lacy now at 3, Adrian Peterson now at 4, and Doug Martin dropping to 5.
- The risers this month include Bernard Pierce, David Wilson, Latavius Murray, Rashad Jennings, and LeGarrette Blount. Pierce’s rise is inherently tied to Ray Rice‘s fall. Rice’s production dropped off a cliff last year and an off-season domestic assault incident doesn’t help. Wilson looks as healthy as he has in a while and there is optimism he’ll pick up where he left off as the primary back in New York. Murray ad Jennings, The two Oakland backs, now have a clear path to a more prominent role now that the Raiders are letting Darren McFadden walk. Blount’s rise will only prove accurate if he sticks in New England where coach Bill Belichick got the absolute most out of him.
- Drops this month include Maurice Jones-Drew, Darren Sproles, Danny Woodhead, Rashard Mendenhall, and Fred Jackson. Jones-Drew’s impending free agency, and where he signs, are resulting in his fall as he’s most likely done as a featured back. Sproles, recently released by the Saints, looked bad down the stretch and, at 32, still struggle to find a similar situation as he had in New Orleans. Woodhead’s play also tailed off at the end of 2013 but his value in PPR dynasty leagues should be higher. Mendenhall looks set to retire. And finally, add another year to Fred Jackson who, at 33, is officially the oldest running back on the list. His only value is if you need to win this year.

- Top seven remains the same with LeSean McCoy, Jamaal Charles, Doug Martin, Eddie Lacy, Adrian Peterson, Giovani Bernard, and Matt Forte.
- The big risers this month include Denver running back Montee Ball. With it becoming increasingly unlikely that Denver brings back incumbent Knowshon Moreno, it will be Ball’s job to lose. Another riser includes Oakland running back Latavius Murray. Currently at the top of the Oakland depth chart now that both Darren McFadden and Rashad Jennings are free agents, Murray is 6′ 3″, 223 pounds, and ran a 4.38 40 in the combine last year. Murray could be special.
- The big drops include the previously mentioned Moreno along with the previously mentioned McFadden. It also includes BenJarvus Green-Ellis of the Bengals. With Giovani Bernard expected to shoulder more of the load in 2014, BJGE’s role is going to diminish further.
