- Lions quarterback Matt Stafford had a down day with 221 yards, a touchdown and an interception. You wonder if the absence of Calvin Johnson, Joique Bell, and Reggie Bush towards the end of the game is having an impact.
- Bills running back C.J. Spiller continues to disappoint with seven yards on nine carries and 25 yards receiving on three catches.
- One person taking advantage of Calvin Johnson’s absence is Golden Tate who racked up 134 yards on seven catches and a touchdown. Tate is a low-end WR2 as long as he’s in Detroit.
- Bills rookie receiver Sammy Watkins had his best day with 87 yards on seven catches and led the team with 12 targets. He could develop into at least a WR2 his year with the potential for more.

Dynasty Recap – Week 2 – Bills dominate Dolphins, 29-10
- Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill just looked bad, throwing for 249 yards on 49 pass attempts with a touchdown and interception. He simply has to be better to be considered a reliable dynasty QB.
- Still stuck in a timeshare, Bills running back C.J. Spiller ran for 69 yards on 12 carries. He also returned a kick but he just isn’t reliable as a RB1 in dynasty while in Buffalo.
- Bills rookie Sammy Watkins busted out with eight catches for 117 yards and a touchdown. Even with E.J. Manual, Watkins looks like he’ll still be able to produce.
Dynasty Recap – Week 1- Bills beat Bears, 23-20
- Jay Cutler did Jay Cutler things with 349 yards passing, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Expect more of the same, making him a borderline QB1 in dynasty leagues.
- Matt Forte had a big day with 82 yards rushing followed by eight catches for 87 yards. He continues to be a RB1 in dynasty leagues.
- For the Bills, CJ Spiller got 15 carries compared to Fred Jackson’s 7, which is encouraging.
- Bears tight end Martellus Bennett had a big day with eight catches for 70 yards and a touchdown. With potential injuries to Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall, Bennett could be a factor.
Daily Dynasty Update – August 8th
Almost ready for the first full week of pre-season. Let’s see what we got:
- The plan for Buffalo running back CJ Spiller is 30 touches a game. Giddy up. Spiller will be a top five running back in dynasty leagues for years to come.
- Mark Ingram should be getting more carries in New Orleans this year and in the future. Finally.
- New Atlanta running back Steven Jackson has been lining up all over the field. While definitely older, Jackson is worth a look as a value pick who will contribute heavily this year. It could be worth to flip him later in the year.
- Rookie receiver Chris Harper has been doing well in Seattle camp. He’s currently behind free agent-to-be Golden Tate on the depth chart so he could be worth a stash on your taxi squad.
- Indy tight end Coby Fleener is due to make a jump this year. Maybe he can get some separation from fellow second year tight end Dwayne Allen in the passing game.
- San Diego rookie receiver Keenan Allen is getting more reps in the wake of the Danario Alexander injury. Now’s the time to draft Allen as at least a taxi squad stash.
- New England rookie receiver Kenbrell Thompkins has really shown promise in camp this year. While none of the New England receivers look to stand out, it doesn’t hurt to draft one of the three rookies in Thompkins, Josh Boyce, and Aaron Dobson.
