Dynasty Recap – Week 2 – Vikings 26, Lions 16

Vikings

  • Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater had another average game with 153 yards and a touchdown but added 21 yards on the ground and another touchdown. No need to abandon ship on Bridgewater yet but hopefully the hype catches up soon.
  • Meanwhile, Adrian Peterson ran wild for 134 yards rushing plus 58 yards receiving. He should continue to be a RB1 in dynasty rankings until he shows he can’t do it.
  • Tight end Kyle Rudolph had another five-catch game with 30 yards and a touchdown. He’ll continue to rise in the dynasty rankings.

Lions

  • Quarterback Matt Stafford had a very Stafford-like game with 286 yards on 53 pass attempts with two touchdowns and an interception. Stafford has clearly played himself out of elite QB1 status in dynasty leagues.
  • Rookie running back Ameer Abdullah had a poor game with nine yards rushing and nine yards receiving on just eight touches. He should still lead the team in carries going forward so he’ll be fine.
  • Receiver Calvin Johnson bounced back with 10 catches for 83 yards and a touchdown. He may not be the elite dynasty receiver he was but he’s still a low-end WR1.

Dynasty Recap – Week 7 – Bills slip by Vikings, 17-16

  • Vikings rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater had another tough day with 157 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. It was against a solid Buffalo defense and is only the third game he’s started so it’s definitely not time to jump ship.
  • A bright spot for Minnesota was rookie running back Jerick McKinnon who had 103 yards on just 19 carries plus two receptions. McKinnon looks to be the starter the rest of this season and should be in the foreseeable future with Adrian Peterson’s future in doubt.
  • Bills rookie receiver Sammy Watkins had a huge day with nine catches for 122 yards and two touchdowns. He’s well on his way to being the top rookie receiver this year.
  • Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr had a big day with 10 tackle, a pass defended, and two fumble recoveries. He should be in the LB2 conversation going forward.

Daily Dynasty Update – October 8th

  • reedRedskins tight end Jordan Reed may actually play this week. His stock has probably taken a hit in dynasty leagues due to the fact the can’t stay on the field. However, he is a good buy-low candidate.
  • Bucs coaches continue to claim that Doug Martin is safe but his production doesn’t show it. We can’t reasonably view him as a RB1 until he starts performing like one.
  • Vikings running back Adrian Peterson should be on trial as soon as December 1. Since that’s the earliest Peterson can clear his name, we don’t expect him to play this year. His future value is in serious doubt as well.
