- Jets running back Chris Ivory, out of nowhere, had 139 yards rushing on 18 carries. Ivory is an intriguing dynasty prospect at just 25 and in an offense that claims to be run-oriented. He could be a RB2 prospect this off-season.
- Jets tight end Zach Sudfeld got the start and hauled in two long passes for 46 yards. Sudfeld might be the answer long-term so keep an eye on it.
- Jets defensive end Muhammed Wilkerson has a sack in five games in a row including this one. Wilkerson is a fantastic dynasty prospect on the d-line

Dynasty Recap – Week 9 – Redskins edge Charger, 30-24
- Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers continues his renaissance with 341 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Rivers doesn’t have as many years left as others but he’s still a decent QB2 option.
- Chargers rookie receiver Keenan Allen continues to impress with eight catches for 128 yards and a touchdown. He’s quickly gaining WR1 status in dynasty circles.
- Chargers running back Danny Woodhead had nine catches for 77 yards to go along with 21 yards rushing. He’s just entering his Darren Sproles phase and should be a viable option in PPR dynasty leagues for 2-3 years.
- On the other side of the field, Alfred Morris racked up 121 yards with a touchdown. He’s still one of the few workhorse backs left in the entire NFL and should be for awhile.
- Redskins receiver Pierre Garçon had a huge day, solidifying his WR2 status in dynasty leagues. Garçon is set up to be successful for at least 3-5 years with the current roster.
Dynasty Recap – Week 9 – Panthers down Falcons,
- With the return of Jonathan Stewart, the Panthers running game is back to being a hot mess. They ran the ball 33 times but the leading rusher only had 13 carries. It’s really a situation to avoid unless any personnel changes occur.
- Atlanta receiver Harry Douglas had another good day with three receptions for 82 yards. Keep an eye on Douglas as a dynasty prospect. Roddy White will be 33 next year and carry a $5 million cap number. If Atlanta is going to address its defense, White may be a cap casualty.
- Carolina linebacker Luke Kuechly had eight tackles, a pass defended and an interception. Hopefully, Kuechly can keep the production up to warrant his high dynasty grade.
Dynasty Recap – Week 9 – Dolphins edge Bengals, 22-20
- The Dolphins continue to split carries between Daniel Thomas and Lamar Miller even though Miller continues to outplay Thomas, averaging more than twice the YPC last night even though he had slightly more carries. Madness!
- Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton came back down to Earth last night with a 6.4 YPA and three picks.
- Cincinnati rookie tight end Tyler Eifert continues to be phased in to the offense with only three catches on four targets. Now actually might be a good time to buy-low.
- Miami defensive end Cameron Wake had three sacks on the night including the game-winning safety. Wake continues to be a DL2 in most leagues.
Dynasty Recap – Week 8 – Seahawks slip by Rams, 14-9
- Unlike the situation in Arizona, the Rams have no problem handing the keys over to a rookie running back. Zac Stacy ran for 134 yards on 26 carries for a 5+ YPC against a really good defense. Stacy is legit.
- The Rams defense did what they had to do and especially defensive ends Robert Quinn and Chris Long who had three sacks each. Long, at 28, and Quinn, at 23, should be the anchors for the Rams for a very long time and owning either in dynasty leagues would be beneficial.
- On the other side of the ball, Seattle safety Earl Thomas racked up 10 more tackles totaling 59 on the season. He’s on pace for almost 120 tackles, eight picks, and 12 passes defended. Just an amazing season from a safety. Grab Thomas now if you can.
Dynasty Recap – Week 8 – Packers beat Vikings, 44-31
- Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was downright surgical, going 24/29 for 285 yards and a 10 YPA with two touchdowns and no interceptions. He’s easily the #1 ranked dynasty quarterback.
- Packers rookie running back Eddie Lacy had 94 yards but it took him 29 carries to get there. This will probably be the norm for Lacy – lots of carries as the Packers sit on a lead. The opportunity will be there for many years for Lacy.
- Packers receiver Jordy Nelson had seven catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Normally a top-20 option when all Packer receivers are healthy, Nelson is a top-10 option when he’s the first option.
- Meanwhile, a bright spot for Minnesota continues to be middle linebacker Erin Henderson who had 14 tackles and two tackles for a loss. Henderson is on pace for over 150 tackles and, at just 27, should be a LB1/2 in dynasty leagues for at least the foreseeable future.
Dynasty Recap – Week 8 – Cardinals down Falcons, 27-13
- The Cardinals finally allowed Andre Ellington to start and he didn’t disappoint. Ellington had 154 yards on 15 carries and a long touchdown. He added two catches for eight yards. However, the Cardinals still don’t want to give Ellington more than the 12-15 carries he’s been getting since Stepfan Taylor had just as many carries but a 2.7 YPC. There’s no logical reason to not hand the keys over to Ellington but it is what it is.
- Falcons receiver Harry Douglas, filling in for Roddy White and Julio Jones, had 12 catches on 18 targets for 121 yards. Douglas will make a fine option for the rest of 2013 but is already 29 and, unless he goes elsewhere, probably won’t be a dynasty factor.
- Cardinals linebacker Daryl Washington had six tackles but added three passes defended and an interception. Washington has been as good as advertised and filled up the stat sheet for the Cardinals.
Dynasty Recap – Week 8 – Broncos blow out Redskins, 45-21
- Redskins rookie tight end Jordan Reed continued his breakout role with eight catches for 90 yards, albeit mostly in garbage time. Nonetheless, Reed is a good, young tight end that should be around awhile.
- Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno continues to stick around with 44 yards rushing to go along with six catches and 89 yards receiving.
- Meanwhile, Denver’s receivers continue to enjoy the spoils of catching passes from Peyton Manning. Wes Welker had six catches for 81 yards on 10 targets, Demaryius Thomas had seven catches for 75 yards on 11 targets and Eric Decker had four catches for 42 yards on seven targets. Like I said, you can’t go wrong with either one. Thomas might have a slight edge because of his age and contract.
- Broncos linebacker Danny Trevathan had 10 tackles to give him 59 on the year. Currently, he’s on pace for almost 120. At just 23, Trevathan could be a valuable linebacker for your dynasty team.
Dynasty Recap – Week 8 – Raiders beat Steelers, 21-18
- Steelers receiver Antonio Brown was one of the few standouts in an otherwise ugly fantasy game. He had nine catches for 82 yards on 11 targets and will continue to be a WR1 going forward.
- Raiders rookie linebacker Sio Moore had two sacks on the day in easily his best game of the year. There was a lot of hype surrounding Moore heading in to dynasty drafts and he may finally be turning the corner.
- Raiders defensive lineman Lamarr Houston had himself another sack giving him four on the year and matching last year’s total. Houston has the potential to be a low-end, but steady, DL2/3 in dynasty leagues.
Dynasty Recap – Week 8 – Bengals blow out Jets, 49-9
- Bengals receiver Marvin Jones exploded for eight receptions for 122 yards and four touchdowns. It’s fair to say Jones will no longer be under the radar.
- Meanwhile, the Bengals running game didn’t show a lot as BenJarvus Green-Ellis ran for 33 yards on 11 carries and Giovani Bernard went for 18 yards on five carries. The Bengals got away with little production from the running game this week but won’t be able to forever. Bernard is still highly ranked in dynasty circles.
- Jets receiver David Nelson had a nice little day of eight catches for 80 yards. Even though Nelson is just 26, don’t expect this kind of production to continue. The Jets offense is a bit of a mess and no one is safe.
- Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict had another double-digit sack day with a tackle for a loss and a pass defended. At just 23 and the anchor of a strong defense, Burfict will be a solid dynasty contributor for many years.
