While Packers running back Eddie Lacy made a great impression his rookie year (as noted yesterday), Green Bay would like to limit his touches to keep him fresh. It’s good and bad for dynasty owners of Lacy as they’d like him to last but still want to rookie-level production he produced. In the end, having Lacy be effective for longer is the better choice.- Anyone expecting a bounce back year from Jets running back Chris Johnson should probably reel those expectations in. He will not be a workhorse this year or any other.
- Rookie receiver John Brown is making a good impression in Arizona where the third receiver spot could be valuable. With an aging Larry Fitzgerald, it’s also conceivable that Brown could see more action down the road.

Daily Dynasty Update – June 25th
As if he needed more hype, Packers running back Eddie Lacy looks better than ever in Green Bay. Lacy had over 300 touches last year and should easily match that again. He’s a top five dynasty running back.- On the heels of a glowing report, it looks like Jets rookie tight end Jace Amaro still has ways to go. He struggled in minicamp while adjusting to an NFL playbook. He’s still high on dynasty boards but his 2014 production expectations should be reigned in.
- No surprise that the Giants brought in Rashad Jennings to be a ‘bellcow’ according to general manager Jerry Reese. Jennings could flirt with RB1 status this season but anything beyond should be considered a bonus.
Daily Dynasty Update – June 24th
Now we have some definitive dates on Knowshon Moreno’s knee after undergoing a scope. Doctors give him 4-5 weeks before he sees action again.- Expect the Carlos Hyde bandwagon to get more crowded after he displayed feature back capabilities in practice. He’s squarely in the first round discussion in rookie drafts and could challenge Bishop Sankey for top back.
- Cowboys running back Lance Dunbar has lined up all over the field in OTA’s and could provide some Darren Sproles-type production under new coordinator Scott Linehan. Still just 25, Dunbar could be a valuable piece in a high-powered offense.
- Expect Bernard Pierce to be the starter in Baltimore should Ray Rice receive a multi-game suspension. Pierce has had an up and down career so far and is a complete gamble at this point.
- A name to keep on your radar is Bengals linebacker Emmanuel Lamur. He’s expected to play all three downs for a very good defense and could rack up plenty of tackles.
Daily Dynasty Football Update – June 23rd
Austin Seferien-Jenkins hasn’t been able to practice thanks to Washington’s graduation schedule which means he’ll start off behind incumbents Tim Wright and Brandon Myers. ASJ probably won’t contribute much in his rookie year but should be on the radar in the second round of your rookie drafts.- Confirming what was thought before, Giants tight end Adrien Robinson has yet to distance himself from the competition. He should be avoided in dynasty leagues.
- If you have any chance of grabbing Vikings receiver Cordarrelle Patterson for a reasonable price, do it now. He’s going to be featured a ton this year.
Daily Dynasty Update – June 21st
In the, as of yet, unresolved tight end situation in Green Bay, rookie Richard Rogers may be pulling ahead. If Rogers keeps this up, he could be another highly rated tight end to grab in rookie drafts.- Ravens rookie linebacker C.J. Mosley played with the first team in practice and OTA’s and should be the week one starter. Him and Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier will battle for the top IDP rookie.
- Expect Vikings running back Adrian Peterson to have more catches this season with Norv Turner in town. Adding any value to Peterson is a plus as he approaches the dreaded running back wall.
Daily Dynasty Update – June 20th
The news on Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno keeps getting worse as he now may need knee surgery. Lamar Miller was already starting to run away with the job but this just confirms that.- It appears Giants tight end Adrien Robinson is not taking advantage of his opening. Those that held on to Robinson for this opportunity may need other options.
- Sad news as Packers running back Johnathan Franklin’s career is over. Franklin showed some flash last year before suffering the career-ending neck injury.
Daily Dynasty Update – June 19th
As expected, Toby Gerhart is expected to get a bulk of the carries in Jacksonville. Gerhart has plenty of tread left on the tires and is an interested dynasty case. He should top out as a RB2.- The Steelers are permanently installing the no-huddle which will mean more plays for the offense and an uptick for all players.
- For those holding out hope that Matt Barkley might develop into something of value in dynasty leagues, you could probably move on.
- In some positive Marcus Lattimore news, he looks better and more explosive. The 49ers running back situation is one of the most tenuous in dynasty.
Daily Dynasty Update – June 18th
49ers tight end Vernon Davis has begun a hold out. However, his age and salary don’t make it likely that he’ll get a new contract. His dynasty value is in tact.- The most logical player to replace him was Vance McDonald but he is struggling to hold on to the ball this off-season. McDonald has a golden opportunity but is blowing it.
- Dolphins running back Lamar Miller is still running ahead of Knowshon Moreno in OTA’s. Miller had the better dynasty value anyway but it’s even better for his immediate value.
- Be careful if you’re in the market for a running back in rookie drafts. Titans running back Bishop Sankey is viewed as a change of pace back by many.
- The Texans will roll with Ryan Fitzpatrick at quarterback to open the year which means Arian Foster’s value will improve.
Daily Dynasty Update – June 17th
People are expecting the Ray Rice suspension to last at least four games to start the season. It’s a substantial amount of time to miss for a player looking to rebound. The fuse on Rice’s dynasty value is running out.- Raiders receiver Denarius Moore hasn’t had good reports this off-season and is in serious jeopardy of losing a starting spot. Moore’s play has been maddening his whole career.
- Look for Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph to have a big year with the arrival of Norv Turner. Turner likes to use a ’12’ offensive alignment which allows one tight end to remain in-line to block while the other is free to catch. Rudolph would be the latter.
Daily Dynasty Update – June 16th
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce should be ready for training camp starting next week. Kelce could fly under the radar a bit in your dynasty leagues with the presence of some pretty good rookies.- Speaking of rookie tight ends, Jets tight end Jace Amaro lined up all over the place in OTA’s. We like Amaro as the top rookie tight end thanks to his immediate opportunity, lack of competition, and great receiving ability.
- Cowboys slot receiver Cole Beasley should shine in 2014 but be careful about his dynasty value. He’s a restricted free agent after this season and could see inflated value in the off-season.
- Redskins receiver Andre Roberts should handle return duties this year thanks to DeSean Jackson coming to town. If your league awards points for that, Roberts has some dynasty value.
