- Titans quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had a decent night, going 22 of 28 for 222 yard and a touchdown. Even if the 30-year old plays well down the stretch, it will be Jake Locker or bust for the Titans.
- Colts running back Trent Richardson had another poor game, rushing for only 22 yards on eight carries. He did add 31 yards on five receptions. But if this is the type of game Richardson produces week-in and week-out, he’s a poor fantasy option and certainly not a RB1. He’s now entering buy-low territory if he keeps this kind of play up.
- Colts tight end Colby Fleener had his best game of the year with eight receptions for 107 yards. Hopefully this is the beginning of good things with Fleener.
- After not starting for the first half of the season, Titans linebacker Colin McCarthy has played well in the place of Moises Foku. He had 12 tackles in the game. He now has 38 in his last four games along with two tackles for a loss, one forced fumble and one interception.

Daily Dynasty Update – November 14th
- Saints receiver Lance Moore played just 35% of snaps this past week. It extends a disappointing season for Moore who was coming off his first 1,000 yard season in 2012. Feel free to move on from Moore in dynasty leagues.
- ESPN.com had an interesting stat about 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his effectiveness with and without Vernon Davis on the field. Furthermore, it speaks volumes to how critical good receiving options are to Kaepernick. Make sure San Francisco gets him some options before increasing his value in your dynasty league.
- Eagles quarterback Michael Vick acknowledged the obvious when he said he expected to be the backup to Nick Foles when he returns. It’s fair to wonder if this might be Vick’s last stop as a starter and it’s fair to drop him if you have to make a roster move.
- Everyone thinks Andrew Ellington should start at running back in Arizona…except Bruce Arians.
Dynasty Recap – Week 10 – Buccaneers slip by Dolphins, 22-19
- Buccaneers backup running back Mike James was on his way to a big night with 41 yards on five carries before fracturing his ankle. James is worth a look in exchange for a low pick, especially if you have Doug Martin coming back next year.
- Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill had a decent game going 27 of 42 for 229 yards, two touchdowns and a pick. It’s encouraging since he had no running game to work with. He has shown a slight improvement in 2013 and probably bought himself another year in Miami with or without the current regime.
- Miami linebacker Dannell Ellerbe had another good outing with 11 tackles and a sack. He’s currently on pace for 120 for the year. At just 27 and signed to a contract extension before the 2013 season, Ellerbe is a solid choice for dynasty leaguers.
Dynasty Recap – Week 10 – Saints dominate Cowboys, 49-17
- The Saints ran all over the Cowboys with continual fantasy disappointment Mark Ingram thrashing them for 145 yards on just 14 carries. Pierre Thomas added 87 yards on 17 carries. Don’t get too excited, however, as the Cowboys have one of the worst defenses in the league. Sell high on either one if you can.
- The passing game also did damage but that was no surprise. Quarterback Drew Brees distributed the ball fairly evenly with Marques Colston leading the way in targets, catches and yards. It’s still a week-to-week guess who Brees’ favorite is with the exception of tight end Jimmy Graham. There just isn’t a receiver in New Orleans reliable enough to count on.
- Cowboys safety Barry Church had 14 more tackles to give him 80 on the year putting him on pace for 128. Of course, with the Cowboys pass defense so abysmal, it’s not hard to envision any safety on the Dallas defense having a lot of tackles. It will remain to be seen if Church will still be around after the inevitable shake-up coming n the off-season.
- Cowboys linebacker Bruce Carter had a good day with 12 tackles, giving him 60 for the year. He’s now on pace for 100 tackles but, like Church, it remains to be seen if he’ll be around in Dallas in 2014.
Dynasty Recap – Week 10 – Panthers slip by 49ers, 10-9
- 49ers running back Frank Gore had 82 yards on 16 carries fora 5+ YPC. Makes you wonder why San Francisco didn’t turn to Gore more. However, for dynasty purposes, Gore is already 30 and has one year left on his contract. You’d be wise to trade him off for an asset now.
- 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick threw for 91 yards on 50% passing, exposing what happens when San Francisco had zero weapons to work with after Vernon Davis’ concussion. Kap is a definite buy-low candidate until the 49ers addresses its receivers issue.
- Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly led the Panthers with one of their six sacks and had 11 tackles and one pass defended.
- Not to be outdone, 49ers linebacker Ahmad Brooks had three sacks on the day to bring his total to 6.5. At 29 and signing an extension before 2012, Brooks will be in the same situation that has brought him continued success so he could be a name to fill your LB2/3 position.
Dynasty Recap – Week 10 – Broncos beat Chargers, 28-20
- Denver running back Knowshon Moreno continues to play at a high level with 65 yards rushing on 13 carries and eight catches for 49 yards. Moreno has a relatively cheap team option for next year and should get that if Denver wants to keep its offensive machine humming.
- Denver rookie running back Montee Ball had 20 yards on four carries while, more importantly, not turning the ball over. Ball is getting valuable experience in one of the league’s best offenses.
- Denver linebacker Danny Trevathan had 11 more tackles to bring his season total to 59. Trevathan has been a force in pass defense as well with three interceptions and eight passes defended.
Dynasty Recap – Week 10 – Cardinals edge Texans, 27-24
- The results on Houston quarterback Case Keenum were mixed as he threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions but only had a 4.7 YPA and did lose a fumble. No one doubts he’s been better than Matt Schaub but it remains to be seen if he’ll be a viable dynasty leaguer.
- Arizona coach Bruce Arians is back to his old ways and giving the ball more to Rashard Mendenhall than to rookie Andre Ellington with Mendenhall getting 13 carries to Ellington’s 11. Ellington averaged two more yards per carry, providing even more proof of his superiority. Ellington is the long-term play in Arizona.
- Texans running back Ben Tate didn’t exactly run away with the starting job, netting 56 yards rushing on 15 carries with three catches for eight yards. However, we won’t see Tate 100% until probably next season as he’s dealing with bruised ribs. He’s still a good long-term play.
Dynasty Recap – Week 10 – Seahawks dominate Falcons, 33-10
- Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson had a very efficient day going 19 of 26 for 287 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a 11 YPA. Wilson added 20 yards rushing. Wilson will never be flashy but he is young and in a good situation for dynasty leagues.
- Meanwhile, Atlanta quarterback Matt Ryan went 23 of 36 for 172 yards for a 4.8 YPA. This season is shot for Ryan but it makes him a good buy-low candidate.
- Seattle rookie running back Christine Michael had 33 yards on eight carries. It’s the second game this season he’s had a 4.0 YPC out of the three he’s played. He’s showing competency in the Seattle offense and should be a bigger part of it next year.
- Falcons linebacker Paul Worrilow had 19 tackles (again). The undrafted free agent replaced Stephen Nicholas as a starter on the Falcons defense where he should continue to rack up tackles.
Dynasty Recap – Week 10 – Lions slip by Bears, 21-19
- Bears receiver Alshon Jeffery continues to demand the most attention in the Bears passing game with an incredible 18 targets, catching half of those for 114 yards. Thanks to new coach Marc Trestman, Jay Cutler is passing the ball around and it’s working to Jeffery’s benefit.
- Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew had his best game of the year with five catches and 70 yards. In his four-plus seasons in Detroit, Pettigrew has yet to break out and has shown what any tight end can do in that offense. His contract is up after this year and Detroit will almost surely look for an upgrade in the off-season.
- Lions linebacker Stephen Tulloch had another solid game with seven tackles. Tulloch is on pace for another 100 tackle season and should be in Detroit for a while.
Dynasty Fantasy Football – Week 10 – Eagles upend Packers, 27-13
- Eagles quarterback Nick Foles had another efficient day going 12 of 18 for 228 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. There’s little doubt Foles will be the starter heading into 2014 with this kind of play. He has the weapons to be successful.
- Eagles running back LeSean McCoy had a great day with 155 yards rushing on 25 carries. With Foles spreading the offense, it will open up holes for McCoy where he should be a top running back in dynasty leagues for 3-5 years.
- Packers receiver Jarrett Boykin had 112 yards on eight catches where he was the top target on the day. Boykin is a name to watch next year when James Jones’ contract is up.
- Packers rookie defensive end Datone Jones had two sacks and has three in his last two games. After not seeing action for most of the season, Jones is on a (small) roll. He’ll be a name to watch as a bargain next year with room for improvement.
