- 49ers rookie running back Marcus Lattimore has been cleared to practice. He won’t play in 2013 but it’s encouraging progress heading in 2014. Lattimore is a strong dynasty prospect in every sense of the word.
- Eagles quarterback Michael Vick will be 100% healthy before the Eagles next game with Arizona. However, it’s hard to imagine Vick usurping Nick Foles at this point. Vick is almost at the point of being droppable.
- Raiders running back Rashad Jennings will still be involved with the offense when incumbent Darren McFadden comes back. Neither are strong dynasty players and both are free agents after 2013. Expect the Raiders to either re-sign McFadden at a bargain or move on.
- Patriots running back Stevan Ridley lost another fumble Monday night. However, he was still in the game for a handful of plays after and was not completely in the dog house. I’d be nervous this off-season as a Ridley owner. You never know what the brain trust in New England is thinking.

Dynasty Recap – Week 11 – Panthers slip by Patriots, 24-20
- Panthers quarterback Cam Newton had a ridiculous game, going 19 of 28 for just 209 yards but three touchdowns. He also added 62 yards on the ground. He’s a no-doubt, top five dynasty quarterback option.
- Patriots running back Shane Vereen caught eight passes for 65 yards and was the most targeted receiver for New England with 11. At just 24, Vereen could be locked in to this role for many years, provided New England re-signs him after 2014.
- Panthers receiver Brandon LaFell had another nice game with seven catches for 59 yards and a touchdown. He was also tied for most targets. Don’t get too excited, however, as LaFell is a free agent after this year and Carolina will surely look for an upgrade/heir apparent for Steve Smith.
- New England defensive end Rob Ninkovich had two more sacks and a team-high nine tackles. It’s his third straight game with a sack as it looks like he’s finally turning on the jets. Keep monitoring his progress but, at this rate, Ninkovich should be a DL2 in your dynasty league.
- Carolina linebacker Luke Kuechly is also turning it in as he had 12 more tackles last night to give him 87 on the year. He’s firmly locked in as a LB1 in dynasty circles.
Dynasty Recap – Week 11 – Broncos beat Chiefs, 27-17
- The Denver running game didn’t do much as Knowshon Moreno only had 79 yards on 27 carries while Montee Ball had 25 yards on eight carries with two touchdowns. The only thing to discern from this is Ronnie Hillman is long gone. Expect a Moreno/Ball timeshare for the rest of 2013 and possibly even 2014.
- Chiefs receiver Dwayne Bowe had another solid outing with four receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown. But don’t be fooled – Denver has a bottom-five pass defense. Bowe is still a weak dynasty option due to the limits of quarterback Alex Smith.
- Meanwhile, Denver receiver Demaryius Thomas had another big day, hauling in five passes for 121 yards. There’s just no better dynasty option at receiver in Denver.
- Denver linebacker Danny Trevathan had another double-digit tackle game with 11. He now has 81 on the year on his way to a Pro Bowl year. He should be a LB1/2 for the foreseeable future.
Dynasty Recap – Week 11 – Saints slip by 49ers, 23-20
- 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick had another sub-par day, going 17 of 31 for 127 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Dynasty owners of Kap can’t wait for Michael Crabtree’s return. It might also be a good time to buy-low on Kaepernick for trigger-happy owners.
- Saints running back Pierre Thomas had another solid outing with 49 yards rushing on 11 carries to go along with five catches for 35 yards. Thomas is a product of the Saints offense and about as boom-or-bust as it gets. But he’s still valuable as long as he’s in New Orleans.
- 49ers linebacker NaVorro Bowman had a big day with 15 tackles. Bowman continues to outplay other 49ers linebackers, including Patrick Willis, and should be a LB1 for many, many years.
Dynasty Recap – Week 11 – Seahawks upend Vikings, 41-20
- Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson was his usual, efficient self going 13 of 18 for 220 yards and two touchdowns. Wilson will never blow you away with his stats but he’s extremely consistent and is on a good, young team. That is a recipe for long-term success in dynasty.
- Seattle running back Robert Turbin has been a steady stream of more work lately, getting seven carries for 17 yards. However, he’s averaging only 3.6YPC and isn’t doing anything to hold off promising rookie Christine Michael.
- Seattle linebacker Bobby Wagner continues to fill up the stat sheet, recording nine tackles, a sack and two passes defended along with an interception. Wagner is the biggest beneficiary of Seattle’s extremely talented defense. Hold on to him like grim death.
Dynasty Recap – Week 11 – Giants down Packers, 27-13
- Giants receiver Victor Cruz continues to dominate, catching eight balls on 11 targets for 110 yards. There’s not many other WR1 options but Cruz consistently produces like it.
- Giants running back Andre Brown ran for 66 yards on 18 carries for a 3.7 YPC. Brown will never be a productive featured back but it’s encouraging that the Giants have turned over the running game to him with the injury to David Wilson. In a perfect scenario, you’d have both on your dynasty team as each individually will never lead you to dynasty glory.
- Packers safety Morgan Burnett had another double-digit tackle game with 12. He now has 50 in seven games this year after recovering from injury. Burnett is an automatic for 100 tackles in any year he’s healthy, giving him DB1 status.
Dynasty Recap – Week 11 – Dolphins escape Chargers, 20-16
- Chargers running back Ryan Mathews had another great game with 127 yards on 19 carries for a 6.7 YPC. Over his last five games he’s averaged 5.2 and played well. The Chargers appeared to have found the secret with Mathews which is use him in small doses and pair him with a pass-catching back. So far, so good. Mathews could still be on the upswing as far as dynasty trajectory value.
- Chargers tight end Ladarius Green caught four passes for 81 yards on five targets. Green had a lot of hype heading in to the season but the Chargers have failed to utilize him. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come for the rest of 2013 and beyond. Get in on Green while you can.
- Meanwhile, Dolphins tight end Charles Clay is cashing in on his opportunity, catching six passes for 90 yards and a touchdown. Showing flashes of TE1 skill, Clay is a boom-or-bust pick right now but is still one of the better performers at the position. At just 24, Clay could be a decent long-term prospect.
- Chargers safety Eric Weddle continue to put up DB1 numbers, this time with seven tackles, a sack and a pass defended. At 28, Weddle will be a DB1 for the foreseeable future.
Dynasty Recap – Week 11 – Bears escape Ravens, 23-20
- Baltimore running back Ray Rice came out of nowhere to have 131 rushing yards on 25 carries to go along with 17 yards receiving on three catches. By far his best game of the season, Rice has tanked for dynasty owners in 2013 but, hopefully, this is a sign of things to come in 2014 and beyond.
- Bears receiver Alshon Jeffery continues to command attention, leading the team in targets with 11 to go along with seven catches for 83 yards. It’s fair to wonder when Jeffery will overtake Brandon Marshall for good as Marshall will be 30 entering next season.
- Bears rookie linebacker Jon Bostic had a solid outing with five tackles, one tackle for a loss and an interception. Bostic won’t be going anywhere so you would be wise to see what it would take to extract Bostic for your team.
Dynasty Recap – Week 11 – Bills destroy Jets, 37-14
- Bills rookie quarterback E.J. Manual had an excellent day, going 20 of 28 for 245 yards and two touchdowns no turnovers. It’s too bad Manual was injured earlier in the year but it looks like he’ll stick around.
- Jets running back Chris Ivory had 98 rushing yards on 15 carries and a touchdown. It’s his second straight solid outing and should endear him to Jets coaches heading in to next year.
- Bills rookie receiver Marquise Goodwin had his best day with six catches for 81 yards and a touchdown. Goodwin got more action due to Stevie Johnson’s injury but hopefully he can see more.
- Bills safety Jairus Byrd had a big day with four tackles, a sack, two passes defended and two interceptions. Whether he stays in Buffalo or moves on next year, Byrd is a solid option at defensive back and even more in big play leagues.
Dynasty Recap – Week 11 – Bengals blast Browns, 41-20
- Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton had a bad day masked with three touchdowns. He went 13 of 27 for just 93 yards and two interceptions to go along with those three touchdowns. You just can’t rely on Dalton long-term and will only be bailed out by the talent around him.
- Browns running back Chris Ogbonnaya had 69 yards rushing to go along with six catches for 30 yards. He won’t challenge for the starting role in 2014 but could be a decent change of pace back for whoever Cleveland brings in.
- Meanwhile, Bengals running-of-the-future Giovani Bernard had another solid outing with 45 yards on just 10 carries to go along with 41 yards receiving on four catches.
- Browns receiver Josh Gordon had 125 yards on five catches and a touchdown. He did see 15 targets but has shown that, no matter who the quarterback is, Gordon will produce. He’s a top talent.
- Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict had 15 tackles, a tackle for a loss and a pass defended to go along with his 13-yard fumble recovered for a touchdown. Burfict continues to be one of the top young talents at linebacker. If you have him, hold on to him. If not, just be glad you don’t play against him every week.
