- Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III had an off night passing, going 19/39 for 246 yards and a pick but still added 77 yards on the ground. There will be better games but rushing is always going to be an RG3 advantage.
- Redskins receiver Pierre Garçon had an incredible 15 targets. He only managed six catches for 69 yards but Garçon will continue to contribute even though he’s in a run-first offense.
- Cowboys rookie running back Joseph Randle ran for 17 yards on 11 carries after replacing DeMarco Murray. Randle is Murray’s primary backup but still doesn’t look like he’s able to carry the load. The Cowboys can, and should, do better either in the draft or free agency to upgrade the position. Don’t waste your time on Randle.
- Cowboys safety Barry Church continues his solid season with nine more tackles and a pass defended. He had 47 tackles on the season which would put him well over 100. He’s also averaging almost a pass defended per game. After sitting out most of last year, Church should be a solid dynasty fantasy leaguer in the Dallas offense.

Dynasty Recap – Week 6 – 49ers beat Cardinals, 32-20
- Arizona rookie running back Andre Ellington continues to show potential with 56 yards on just seven carries. He also added 36 yards on five catches. He’s strung together a couple good games in a row and the 49ers defense is tough.
- The 49ers finally went back to tight end Vernon Davis in the passing game and resulted in 180 yards on eight catches and two touchdowns. This game just showed what Davis is capable of when the 49ers make him a part of the offense. And with fewer tight ends with as high a ceiling as Davis, he should be held in high regard in dynasty circles.
- Arizona linebacker Karlos Dansby continues to impress with 11 tackles. a half sack, and three more passes defended. Dansby is 31 but is still filling the state sheet like before. He might be a good value if you can pick him up.
Dynasty Recap – Week 6 – Patriots stun Saints, 30-27
- Patriots running back Stevan Ridley is back with 20 carries for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Of course, it could just be a sick joke by Bill Belichick but hopefully it’s a trend that continues.
- On the other side of the field, Saints running back Darren Sproles had 12 targets to go with six catches and 58 yards. Sproles also had five carries. It’s the type of game fantasy owners of Sproles love but how long can it last for dynasty leaguers? Sproles is already 30 and only has one more year on his contract. Sproles fills a very niche role so it would be interesting to see if he could catch on with another team after his time in New Orleans is up.
- Saints linebacker Curtis Lofton is showing his Pro Bowl form with 12 tackles, a sack and a tackle for a loss. Still just 27, Lofton is one of the few linebackers to play in the middle each down and should still be considered in the LB2 discussion.
Dynasty Recap – Week 6 – Seahawks outlast Titans, 20-13
- Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson had an ok fantasy day, going 23/31 for 257 yards and over 8.0 YPA. He also had 61 yards on the ground but failed to score. Wilson will be a fine QB2 for many years to come.
- Titans receiver Kendall Wright had the most targets of any Tennessee receiver with eight and had five catches for 69 yards. Wright is making the most of his weak supporting cast and is a great buy-low candidate.
- Seattle running back Christine Michael had no carries (again) but don’t be deterred in his future talent. For dynasty leaguers, Michael is the ultimate taxi squad candidate.
- Meanwhile, Tennessee running back Chris Johnson had 33 yards on 12 carries for an abysmal 2.8 YPC. Salvage whatever value Johnson has left and get rid of him now.
Dynasty Recap – Week 6 – Broncos outlast Jaguars, 35-19
- Jaguars receiver Justin Blackmon had another big day with 14 catches and 190 yards. Just imagine the possibilities if the Jaguars upgrade at quarterback.
- Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno had 15 carries compared to four for Ronnie Hillman and three for Montee Ball. Both Ball and Hillman could probably be had in your leagues for cheap just to see if one of them wins the job next year.
- Jaguars linebacker Paul Posluszny had good effort with seven tackles, a pass defended and an interception that happened to be returned for a touchdown. On the year, Pos has 54 tackles to go with seven passes defended, three tackles for a loss and two interceptions. He’s still one of the premier middle linebackers in IDP dynasty.
- Peyton Manning is still Peyton Manning.
Dynasty Recap – Week 6 – Bengals escape Bills, 27-24 (OT)
- The Bengals went back to an even split on running backs between BarJarvus Green-Ellis and Giovani Bernard as the veteran, Green-Ellis, lhad 18 compared to the rookie Bernard’s 15. However, Bernard had six catches for 72 yards, proving how valuable he can be.
- After a career-best five catches last week, Bengals rookie tight end Tyler Eifert came back down to Earth with two catches for 13 yards. Until incumbent tight end Jermaine Gresham moves on to another team, Eifert’s potential will be limited.
- Buffalo rookie linebacker Kiko Alonso had an incredible 22 tackles to bring his season total to 66. He’s currently on pace for 176 tackles on the season. He’s a keeper in every sense of the word.
- Buffalo safety Da’Norris Searcy had quite a day too with 16 tackles, three tackles for a loss and a sack. At just 24, Search is in line for more opportunities if Jairus Byrd should move on through a trade and could be a value in big play leagues.
Dynasty Recap – Week 6 – Lions beat Browns, 34-17
- Lions quarterback Matt Stafford had a good game, passing for four touchdowns with 248 yards. However, he passed for less than 60% and less than 6.0 YPC. This is further evidence of just how pedestrian Stafford is without Calvin Johnson at full strength.
- Meanwhile, Lions running back Reggie Bush had 78 yards rushing along with five catches for 57 yards. As long as Bush is healthy, he’s a very good dynasty running back to have.
- Cleveland receiver Josh Gordon shows that it doesn’t matter whose quarterback, he’s going to produce. Gordon tallied seven catches for 126 yards with an incredible 18 yards per catch. The news may be out on Gordon by now but he’s an ideal dynasty stash.
- Cleveland safety T.J. Ward had his best game of the year with 11 tackles and two passes defended. He continues to fill up the stat sheet with four passes defended, two interceptions, and up to 36 tackles for the year which puts him on pace for over 100. Ward is just 26 and figures to be a part of a good Cleveland defense for the foreseeable future.
Dynasty Recap – Week 6 – Chiefs hold off Raiders, 24-7
- Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor had his worst game of the year, going 18 of 34 for 216 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions. In his defense, he was on the road playing a good defense. He should bounce back next game.
- Raiders receiver Denarius Moore had another solid outing with five catches for 82 yards. He’s currently on pace for over 1,000 and continues to be Oakland’s only viable option in the passing game.
- The Chiefs defense had an incredible game, fantasy-wise. The biggest contributor was linebacker Tamba Hali with 3.5 sacks, three tackles for a loss to go along with four tackles. Hali has 7.5 sacks on the season and has been a main piece of the very good Chiefs defense. At 29, his window is smaller than others but he could still be had on the cheap.
Dynasty Recap – Week 6 – Panthers dominate Vikings, 35-10
- The Cam Newton we all know and love re-appeared. He had four touchdowns and 242 passing yards to go along with 30 yards rushing.
- Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph had his best game of the year with nine catches for 97 yards and a touchdown. I’d still wait to see if Rudolph keeps this up or if it was just a blip.
- Panthers receiver Brandon LaFell had four catches for 107 yards. Don’t get too excited as the Panthers are sure to upgrade the position in the off-season. LaFell is still off dynasty radars.
- Vikings rookie defensive lineman Sharrif Floyd had his first full sack to give him 1.5 for the year. The hope is he can develop into a Geno Atkins-type fantasy player and still rack up the sacks even though he plays the interior.
Dynasty Recap – Week 6 – Pittsburgh gets a win over Jets, 19-3
- Jets rookie quarterback Geno Smith looked exactly that. A rookie. He went 19 of 34 for 201 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions.
- Steelers rookie running back Le’Veon Bell had 34 yards 16 carries against a very good defense. He has yet to crack 4.0 YPC but he’s only played in two games this year. It’s too early to tell how good Bell will be but he’ll be the work horse.
- Steelers receiver Antonio Brown continues to hog all the attention in the Pittsburgh passing game, catching nine balls on 11 targets. He’ll continue to be a low-end WR1 in PPR leagues.
- Jets defensive end Muhammed Wilkerson continues to prove his worth with two tackles, a sack and a tackle for a loss. At just 23, Wilkerson is someone to try to nab for your dynasty team as a long-term solution to your defensive line.
