Dynasty Recap – Week 7 – Seahawks 20, 49ers 3

Seahawks

  • Russell Wilson had a very pedestrian 235 yards plus a touchdown and two interceptions. He added 20 yards on the ground. It’s been a down year for Wilson but all the means for dynasty purposes is he’s in the large group of QB1’s in dynasty rankings instead of making the leap to elite status.
  • Running back Marshawn Lynch got back on track with 122 yards and a touchdown. It was his best game all season and confirms his RB1 status.
  • Receiver Tyler Lockett had a breakout game with five catches for 79 yards and a touchdown. He’s already made plays in the return game but more games like this on offense makes Lockett an intriguing dynasty prospect.

49ers

  • Colin Kaepernick looked bad. He threw for 124 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions and no rushing yards. He’s not even a QB2 at this point.
  • Running back Carlos Hyde ran for 40 yards on 11 carries. Hyde may be the only good offensive dynasty piece on the entire team.
  • Linebacker Michael Wilhoite had another double-digit tackle game. He now has 63 on the year and is on his way to 150+.

Dynasty Recap – Week 1 – Rams 34, Seahawks 31 (OT)

Rams

  • Quarterback Nick Foles had a decent day, completing 18 of 27 for 297 yards and a touchdown against the Kam Chancellor-less Seattle defense. It’s not time to bump up Foles in dynasty rankings but it’s a good start.
  • Foles leading receiver was tight end Jared Cook who caught five for 85 yards. Cook showed promise in last year’s opener too so we won’t get too excited. If he puts together another month of this though, things could change.
  • It was a coming out party for defensive tackle Aaron Donald and his nine tackle, two-sack day. He’s a solid DL2 but even higher if you play in a DT-special league.

Seahawks

  • Russell Wilson did not have a decent day, going 32 of 41 for only 251 yards and a touchdown and an interception. It’s early so it’s not time to move Wilson down dynasty rankings.
  • Running back Marshawn Lynch had a good day when he got the ball. Operating on only 18 carries, Lynch rushed for 73 yards but did add five catches for 31 yards. Seattle should go back to pounding the ball with Lynch next week. He’s still a RB1.
  • New addition Jimmy Graham had a decent day with six catches for 51 yards and a touchdown. A solid effort from a tight end but not worthy of being the second highest dynasty tight end. I’m going to start marking him down.

Dynasty Recap – Week 11 – Chiefs upend Seahawks, 24-20

  • Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles had a big day with 159 yards rushing and two touchdowns to go along with two catches for 19 yards. He’s easily surpassed LeSean McCoy as the top running back in dynasty.
  • Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson had a decent day passing with 178 yards passing with two touchdowns plus 71 yards rushing. Wilson continues to be a low-end QB1 with all the rushing opportunities.
  • Seahawks safety Earl Thomas had a good day with 11 tackles and a pass defended. He’s had a down year, as have the entire Seattle defense, but today was a DB1 day.

Dynasty Recap – Week 7 – Rams stun Seahawks 28-26

  • Even in defeat, Russell Wilson put on a show with 313 yards and two touchdowns to go along with 106 yards rushing and another touchdown. Those are high-end QB1 numbers.
  • Rams rookie running back Tre Mason appears to have taken over the top job with 85 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown. With the win, Mason could keep the job for good and be a reliable RB2.
  • Rams defensive end Robert Quinn finally notched a sack along with four tackles. He hasn’t played like a DL1 this season but should still be considered one in dynasty formats.
