Dynasty Recap – Week 9 – Cowboys squeak by Vikings, 27-23

  • Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo had another Romo-esque day with 337 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. It’s hard to argue about too many better options at quarterback in dynasty leagues.
  • Cowboys receiver Cole Beasley had nine targets for six catches and 68 yards. Keep an eye on Beasley in dynasty leagues as Miles Austin could be expendable after the season.
  • Vikings linebacker Erin Henderson only had four tackles but that’s only because Dallas threw the ball 51 times. Henderson should continue to be a tackle-machine for the foreseeable future.

Daily Dynasty Update – October 19th

  • With the trade deadline getting closer, there are several players on the trade block including receiver Kenny Britt from Tennessee. No one quite knows what the Titans plans are yet but with Kendall Wright providing some stability, the need for Britt in Tennessee is less. His stock might improve if he were traded but that’s a big if.
  • Lions running back Theo Riddick will play more, if he’s available, due to the injury to Joique Bell. Neither are long-term solutions in your fantasy dynasty leagues but could be a throw-in to a trade down the road, especially to someone looking to handcuff Reggie Bush.
  • Dallas receiver Miles Austin sat again as the Cowboys hope rest will fix what’s wrong with Austin and his hamstrings. He had an O-fer last week and is the fourth best option in the Cowboys pecking order after Dez Bryant, Jason WItten, and even Terrence Williams. You’d be wise to trade Austin as fast as you can.
  • Chiefs tight end Anthony Fasano will most likely be playing this weekend. Rookie Travis Kelce was supposed to give Fasano a run for his money as the ‘move’ tight end but is out for the year. Fasano has value this year and maybe longer if Kelce continues to have issues next year.

Daily Dynasty Update – September 27th

Happy hour is only a few hours away. Oh, and the 49ers look normal again. Who knew running the ball was a recipe for success?

  • Rams running back Isaiah Pead was a healthy scratch last night yet Zac Stacy didn’t have a single carry. Benny Cunningham ended up spelling Daryl Richardson. Apparently just because the Rams had three running backs in the beginning of the season doesn’t mean they had three worth taking in dynasty fantasy. Look for Cunningham on deeper waiver wires.
  • Bucs (now) backup quarterback Josh Freeman would like a trade. I’d also like a million dollars but it won’t happen. Freeman’s cap number is way too big for a backup/middling starter. He’ll be in Tampa until the end of the season and will begin the path of a journeyman quarterback.
  • The Jaguars have officially designated Denard Robinson as a wide receiver. Still won’t matter as Robinson has yet to break out and is on a bad team.
  • Dallas rookie receiver Terrance Williams will get the start Sunday if Miles Austin can’t go. In that offense, the 2nd receiver will get more opportunities than most. Williams is also young and cheap which means he could be in Dallas for a while. He’d be worth a stash in deep dynasty leagues.
