Dynasty Recap – Week 15 – Chargers upset Broncos

  • Chargers running back Ryan Mathews had a season-high 127 yards rushing and a touchdown. Mathews has stayed healthy this year and it’s paid off, already eclipsing 1,000 yards. He’ll never be a three-down back with Danny Woodhead in the fold but he can be productive.
  • Chargers rookie receiver Keenan Allen had only two catches but both were for touchdowns. He’s easily been the top rookie receiver and should hope Ken Whisenhunt sticks around as offensive coordinator.
  • Broncos linebacker Danny Trevathan had 10 more tackles to give him 114 on the year. He’ll be just 24 entering next year and should continue to be as productive for the foreseeable future.

Dynasty Recap – Week 11 – Broncos beat Chiefs, 27-17

  • The Denver running game didn’t do much as Knowshon Moreno only had 79 yards on 27 carries while Montee Ball had 25 yards on eight carries with two touchdowns. The only thing to discern from this is Ronnie Hillman is long gone. Expect a Moreno/Ball timeshare for the rest of 2013 and possibly even 2014.
  • Chiefs receiver Dwayne Bowe had another solid outing with four receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown. But don’t be fooled – Denver has a bottom-five pass defense. Bowe is still a weak dynasty option due to the limits of quarterback Alex Smith.
  • Meanwhile, Denver receiver Demaryius Thomas had another big day, hauling in five passes for 121 yards. There’s just no better dynasty option at receiver in Denver.
  • Denver linebacker Danny Trevathan had another double-digit tackle game with 11. He now has 81 on the year on his way to a Pro Bowl year. He should be a LB1/2 for the foreseeable future.

Dynasty Recap – Week 10 – Broncos beat Chargers, 28-20

  • Denver running back Knowshon Moreno continues to play at a high level with 65 yards rushing on 13 carries and eight catches for 49 yards. Moreno has a relatively cheap team option for next year and should get that if Denver wants to keep its offensive machine humming.
  • Denver rookie running back Montee Ball had 20 yards on four carries while, more importantly, not turning the ball over. Ball is getting valuable experience in one of the league’s best offenses.
  • Denver linebacker Danny Trevathan had 11 more tackles to bring his season total to 59. Trevathan has been a force in pass defense as well with three interceptions and eight passes defended.

Dynasty Recap – Week 8 – Broncos blow out Redskins, 45-21

  • Redskins rookie tight end Jordan Reed continued his breakout role with eight catches for 90 yards, albeit mostly in garbage time. Nonetheless, Reed is a good, young tight end that should be around awhile.
  • Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno continues to stick around with 44 yards rushing to go along with six catches and 89 yards receiving.
  • Meanwhile, Denver’s receivers continue to enjoy the spoils of catching passes from Peyton Manning. Wes Welker had six catches for 81 yards on 10 targets, Demaryius Thomas had seven catches for 75 yards on 11 targets and Eric Decker had four catches for 42 yards on seven targets. Like I said, you can’t go wrong with either one. Thomas might have a slight edge because of his age and contract.
  • Broncos linebacker Danny Trevathan had 10 tackles to give him 59 on the year. Currently, he’s on pace for almost 120. At just 23, Trevathan could be a valuable linebacker for your dynasty team.
