Dynasty Fantasy Football Recap – Week 6 – Panthers, Bengals tie 37-37

  • Panthers quarterback Cam Newton had a QB1 day with 284 yards passing, two passing touchdowns and an interception plus 107 yards rushing and another touchdown. If he can string more of these together, he’ll be in the top-tier again.
  • On the other side of the field, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton lit it up with 323 passing yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions and threw in 25 yards rushing. Dalton can be a low-end QB1 in dynasty formats.
  • Meanwhile, Bengals running back Gio Bernard had another RB1 day with 137 yards and a touchdown plus four catches for 20 yards. He’s entering the top RB conversation in dynasty formats.
  • Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly had a boring day with 13 tackles. He continues to be a LB1 in dynasty formats.

Dynasty Recap – Week 6 – Packers escape Dolphins, 27-24

  • Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was his usual efficient self with 264 yards and three touchdowns with no interceptions. Him and Andrew Luck are the top-tier quarterbacks to own in dynasty.
  • Packers receiver Jordy Nelson was also his usual self with nine catches for 107 yards and a touchdown. He’s a WR1 in all dynasty formats.
  • On the other side of the field, Dolphins rookie receiver Jarvis Landry broke out with six catches and 75 yards plus a touchdown on eight targets. He could be the WR2 in Miami soon and have some value.

Dynasty Recap – Week 6 – Browns pound Steelers, 31-10

  • Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell continues to show his RB1 ability even in a loss. He had 82 yards rushing with 23 yards on four catches. The Steelers don’t look good as a team but Bell looks solid.
  • In other Steelers new, receiver Antonio Brown is also team-proof with seven catches and 118 yards. He’s a legit WR1 in dynasty formats going forward.
  • Browns tight end had a breakout game with 102 yards on three catches and a touchdown. Cameron’s had a down year compared to last year but this provides a glimmer of hope
  • Browns linebacker Karlos Dansby had a big day with 11 tackles and a sack. Despite his age, Dansby is still a fine LB2 in dynasty formats.

Dynasty Recap – Week 6 – Lions down Vikings, 17-3

  • Vikings rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater had a tough day against a god defense with 188 yards passing with three interceptions. It’s only his second start against a very good defense so it’s not a surprise. Bridgewater remains a hold.
  • Vikings rookie running back Jerick McKinnon had a good day as the presumed starter with 40 yards rushing to go along with six catches for 42 yards. McKinnon should be the starter the rest of the way so his stock is up.
  • Lions defensive end Ziggy Ansah had a breakout game with five tackles, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble. More days like that and he’ll fulfill his DL1 status in dynasty.

Dynasty Recap – Week 6 – Colts escape Texans, 33-28

  • Colts quarterback Andrew Luck continues his hot streak 370 yards and three touchdowns with an interception. Each week like this further solidifies his case a the top QB in dynasty.
  • The main beneficiary of Luck’s performance was receiver T.Y. Hilton with nine catches for 223 yards and a touchdown. He has the most upside of all the Colts receivers.
  • On the Houston side, running back Arian Foster looks like his old self with 109 yards and two touchdowns rushing to go with three catches for 32 yards. He’s an ideal RB2 in dynasty leagues.
  • Houston defensive end J.J. Watt had a ridiculous night with two sacks along with a fumble return for a touchdown. There’s simply no better IDP player right now than Watt.

Daily Dynasty Update – October 8th

  • reedRedskins tight end Jordan Reed may actually play this week. His stock has probably taken a hit in dynasty leagues due to the fact the can’t stay on the field. However, he is a good buy-low candidate.
  • Bucs coaches continue to claim that Doug Martin is safe but his production doesn’t show it. We can’t reasonably view him as a RB1 until he starts performing like one.
  • Vikings running back Adrian Peterson should be on trial as soon as December 1. Since that’s the earliest Peterson can clear his name, we don’t expect him to play this year. His future value is in serious doubt as well.

Dynasty Recap – Week 5 – Seahawks escape Redskins, 27-17

  • Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson did it again with 201 passing yards and two touchdowns to go along with 122 yards rushing and another touchdown. He’s a bona fide QB1 in any dynasty format.
  • Redskins receiver DeSean Jackson broke out with 157 yards on five catches and 11 targets. and a touchdown. We expect only one Redskin receiver to produce each game so we’d avoid altogether.
  • Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner was all over the field with eight tackles, a sack and two interceptions. He could challenge for top LB in dynasty formats

Dynasty Recap – Week 5 – Patriots destroy Bengals 43-17

  • Patriots quarterback Tom Brady looked like his old self with 292 yards and two touchdowns. We don’t expect it to last and you shouldn’t either. Brady is old and an average fantasy quarterback.
  • Patrios running back Stevan Ridley had a breakout game with 113 yards and a touchdown. We’d like to see more games like this before we’re comfortable with Ridley as a RB2.
  • Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski continues to get better with six catches and 100 yards plus a touchdown. We gain more confidence each week Gronk stays healthy and performs.

Dynasty Recap – Week 5 – Chargers shutout Jets, 31-0

  • Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers continues to impress with 288 yards passing and three touchdowns. He has the look of a low-end QB1 in dynasty leagues.
  • Chargers running back Braden Oliver came on to spell an injured Donald Brown and lit up the Jets for 114 yards rushing plus 68 yards receiving on four catches and two total touchdowns.
  • A bright spot for the Jets was linebacker David Harris with 10 tackles. It was the best game of the season for Harris who should continue to be a LB3 in dynasty formats.

Dynasty Recap – Week 5 – 49ers upend Chiefs, 22-17

  • 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick had a pedestrian day with 201 yards passing and a touchdown plus only 18 yards rushing. Kap is no more than a  high-end QB2 at this point.
  • Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles continues to come back from injury with only 80 yards rushing. To be fair, he was playing a good defense and should be closer to his output from last year as the season wears on.
  • Chiefs linebacker Justin Houston got another sack, bringing up his total to six for the season. Houston is a LB1 in big-play leagues
