Daily Dynasty Update – June 14th

  • carrGet ready for the Derek Carr bandwagon to get more crowded as he looks better in camp, at the moment, than Matt Schaub. Of course, there’s no pads or live-action yet so reserve judgement until then.
  • Giants linebacker Jon Beason should only miss 12 weeks with a fracture in his right foot, meaning he is not in danger of missing significant time this regular season. It’s a bullet dodged for Beason owners as he bounced back with the Giants last year.
  • In one of the less sexy training camp battles, Andre Holmes appears to be the third receiver in Oakland over Denarius Moore. Moore has flashed potential in the past but never put it together. Holmes, while already 26, is fresh and could have some value.

  • michaelGet ready for the Christine Michael bandwagon to get crowded with Marshawn Lynch expected to skip a mandatory training camp. The Seahawks were expected to siphon off carries from Lynch anyway but this might expedite that thinking.
  • Expect the Terrance West bandwagon to get that way too with West getting first-team reps in Browns camp. Recently signed Ben Tate is not likely to hold up a full 16 games so his immediate back up will be a hot commodity. West reminds some of Alfred Morris where he’s great at running and cut backs but not much else.
  • Bad news for Sean Weatherspoon as he ruptured his Achilles and will miss the entire season. It’s a big blow for Weatherspoon dynasty owners as he was expected to fully recovery from injury issues he sustained last year.

Daily Dynasty Update – June 4th

  • fosterArian Foster is expected to handle all passing down duties in Houston, much like he did before. It’s an endorsement of Foster from new coach Bill O’ Brien and makes Foster an interesting buy-low candidate.
  • Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert is sitting out OTA’s with an injury. With this much time before the season starts, it shouldn’t be a concern but definitely something to monitor. However, with Hue Jackson now implementing a more rush-oriented offense and with Jermaine Gresham still around, Eifert’s dynasty value is not what it was a year ago.
  • Expect Tampa Bay to use multiple running backs even with Doug Martin returning from injury. It doesn’t mean he’s not a RB1 in dynasty leagues but definitely won’t challenge Jamaal Charles and LeSean McCoy for the top spot.
