After trading up five spots, the Broncos drafted defensive end Shane Ray.
Ray is an animal on defense with relentless energy and top-10 ability. His speed is an asset as well but is smaller compared to other edge rushers.
Ray could have gone much higher but character issues, along with a run-in with police just this week, caused Ray to drop a bit. However, if he can avoid trouble, he can be a great compliment, and eventual heir, to Demarcus Ware on the end. For IDP purposes, he’ll be good for sacks only.
