Dynasty Recap – Week 5 – Cowboys escape Texans, 20-17

  • Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo  had another good outing with 324 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Romo’s long-term health is in doubt but he is a low-end QB1 as long as he’s around.
  • Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray continues his torrid pace with 136 yards rushing to go with six catches for 56 yards. He’s been a top RB this year but a lot of uncertainty surrounds him including injury questions. Might not be a bad idea to sell high – really high.
  • On the other side of the field, Texans running back Arian Foster had a throwback game with
  • As long as Romo keeps producing, so will Dez Bryant. He led the team with nine catches on 14 targets and 84 yards plus a touchdown.

Dynasty Recap – Week 5 – Bills escape Lions, 17-14

  • Lions quarterback Matt Stafford had a down day with 221 yards, a touchdown and an interception. You wonder if the absence of Calvin Johnson, Joique Bell, and Reggie Bush towards the end of the game is having an impact.
  • Bills running back C.J. Spiller continues to disappoint with seven yards on nine carries and 25 yards receiving on three catches.
  • One person taking advantage of Calvin Johnson’s absence is Golden Tate who racked up 134 yards on seven catches and a touchdown. Tate is a low-end WR2 as long as he’s in Detroit.
  • Bills rookie receiver Sammy Watkins had his best day with 87 yards on seven catches and led the team with 12 targets. He could develop into at least a WR2 his year with the potential for more.

Dynasty Recap – Week 5 – Colts beat Ravens, 20-13

  • Colts quarterback Andrew Luck had a good day in the air with 312 yards but only one touchdown and two interceptions. He also added a rushing touchdown and should continue to be a QB1.
  • Colts receiver T.Y. Hilton continues to put together a solid season with nine catches for 90 yards and tied for the team lead with 12 targets. He continues to be a solid WR2 in dynasty formats as long as he has Andrew Luck.
  • Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley broke out with 15 tackles and a pass defended. He should be a LB1 from here on out.

Dynasty Recap – Week 5 – Steelers escape Jaguars, 17-9

  • Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had a pedestrian day with 273 yards and a touchdown. The Jaguars defense is solid so no need to raise the alarm yet.
  • Likewise, Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell had plenty of yards with 82 rushing and 36 yards receiving on five catches.
  • The Jaguars defense included middle linebacker Paul Posluszny and his 12 tackles, sack and one pass defended. He’s a consensus LB1 in all dynasty formats.
  • In the secondary, Jonathan Cyprien had his best game of the year with 11 tackles. As long as he’s healthy, Cyprien should be a DB1.

Dynasty Recap – Week 5 – Packers destroy Vikings, 42-10

  • Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was his efficient self with 156 yards on just 17 pass attempts and three touchdowns. He continues to be the top-rated quarterback in dynasty.
  • Packers running back Eddie Lacy got back on track with 105 yards rushing with two touchdowns and adding three catches for 27 yards. As long as Lacy is in Green Bay, he’ll be a low-end RB1 in dynasty formats.
  • Packers safety Morgan Burnett racked up 12 tackles and a forced fumble and continues to be a DB1 in all formats.
