Dynasty Impact: Vince Wilfork is getting older and Easley has the hands and motor to contend. Doesn’t have ideal size but can overcome that with his explosiveness. Could be a Geno Atkins-type that draws attention away from ends Rob Ninkovich and Chandler Jones. Those two will benefit more than one can expect from Easley. Also has injury concerns that he will have to overcome.

Dynasty Impact – Carolina Panthers select Kelvin Benjamin, WR
Dynasty Impact: A big target for Cam Newton, Benjamin still needs some polish but could be a huge asset for Carolina who needed a receiver in the worst way. If Benjamin’s hands can hold up, he can give Newton a target he’s never had, especially in the red zone. Probably won’t provide an immediate impact but could be a valuable dynasty receiver down the road.
Dynasty Impact – Arizona Cardinals select Deone Bucannon, S
Dynasty Impact – Philadelphia Eagles select Marcus Smith, LB
Dynasty Impact: Quick and athletic as a pass rusher off the edge. Could be a Barkevious Mingo-type for the Eagles who learns and gains experience in year one before being let loose in year two. Has good height but could bulk up. Joins an experience (old) team that needs to win now. Dynasty impact should be minimal until he can prove he can get to the quarterback in the NFL.
Dynasty Impact – San Diego Chargers select Jason Verrett, CB
Dynasty Impact – Cincinnati Bengals select Darqueze Dennard, CB
Dynasty Impact: Dennard has good size and speed and the Bengals got him at a good value. Has good anticipation and instincts, which could lead to an above average number of passes defended but still won’t have much of an impact in IDP leagues. Should help the rest of the Bengals defense in forcing more pressure and could bump up IDP players like Carlos Dunlap.
Dynasty Impact – Kansas City Chiefs select Dee Ford, DE
Dynasty Impact: Ford joins an underrated Chiefs defense and will add a ton of speed. But speed may be it as he only clocks in at 6′ 2″ and 250-pounds. He may be better suited as an outside linebacker in the pros. Will be a specialist and probably won’t be any higher than a LB3/4 in IDP dynasty leagues.
Dynasty Impact – Cleveland Browns select Johnny Manziel, QB
Dynasty Impact: Finally, Manziel is taken after the Browns trade up to get the quarterback. Pairing him with Josh Gordon will be a dynamic duo in dynasty circles but he could possibly sit for a year behind current starter Brian Hoyer. Manziel has the arm and wheels to be successful and will have the weapons to do well for many years. He’ll play behind a great offensive line as well. Manziel should challenge for the first quarterback taken in rookie dynasty drafts.
Dynasty Impact – Green Bay Packers select Ha Ha Clinton-Dix
Dynasty Impact: Will immediately step in and start for the Packers where he should see plenty of action in the pass-happy NFC North. He played in a pro-style defense at Alabama and has the instincts and coverage skills to be a DB1 in IDP leagues. Doesn’t have the best size or speed but does have the tackling ability to tally 100 tackles a year.
Dynasty Impact – Saints select Brandin Cooks
Dynasty Impact: After trading up, the Saints get Brandin Cooks and his 4.33-speed. Putting him in the slot in that offense will lead to big numbers for Cooks right away and should be the second receiver off the board in dynasty rookie drafts. For Drew Brees, the Saints inject some youth in the receiving corps which should help sustain his crazy fantasy numbers. Cooks will be a high pick in 2014.
